Principles of Equitable Schools During COVID-19—Animo Legacy

In 2017, the Center’s Equity Coalition created the Principles of Equitable Schools to inform the education community about core standards that must be in place to ensure equity for all students, including students with disabilities. This year, we’ve updated the principles to reflect the challenges of COVID-19. These principles are: Accessibility, Inclusion, Quality, Collaboration, Accountability, Autonomy & Flexibility and Resources. This video highlights how several schools are applying these principles as they navigate remote and hybrid learning.

This video features Animo Legacy Charter Middle School, in Los Angeles, CA, and shows how they have demonstrated the Principles during COVID-19.
