EdTech Engagement & Digital Learning Equity Gaps

The K12 landscape shifted dramatically in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The data show technology rapidly became core to learning as school closures became widespread by mid-March.

K12 districts saw a rapid increase in the number of edtech tools used by students and educators as well as increases in the levels of edtech usage. However, when the data is considered through a lens of equity, variations in levels of engagement emerge.
