On January 8–9, 2023, a group of 20 professionals convened in Scottsdale, Arizona, for the EALA Community of Action. Twice a year, this unique gathering brings together an uncommon group of experts to tackle shared challenges facing students with disabilities or learning differences. The event focuses on selected promising practices, and over the course of 36 hours, participants work together to develop and present their innovative solutions. Through a process of participatory grantmaking, attendees collectively choose one to three of these proposed solutions to receive implementation funding, turning their collaborative ideas into tangible action.
Feedback from Participants:
“In my 18 years in education and advocacy, I have NEVER participated in a convening as impactful and with such strong results as this.”
