On May 20–21, 2025, a group of 24 professionals convened in Scottsdale, Arizona, for the EALA Community of Action. This unique biannual event brings together a group of experts to collaboratively address shared challenges affecting students with disabilities and learning differences. The convening centers on selected promising practices, and over the course of 36 hours, participants work in teams to develop and present innovative solutions. Through a process of participatory grantmaking, attendees collectively choose one to three of these proposed solutions to receive implementation funding, turning their collaborative ideas into tangible action.

Feedback from Participants:

“The work we all lead is IMPORTANT and they is more than enough space for us all to lead what we do. This type of collaboration and ACTION that results from this convening is so needed and will bring justice and belonging to the our young people across the map!”
