In 2019, NCLD and Understood published Forward Together, a report identifying the three critical teacher mindsets and eight key practices that can help educators meet the needs of the 1 in 5 students who learn differently. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, students and teachers’ experiences have been drastically changed since the report’s publication. Now that many students have spent over a year learning virtually, they revisited the report to explore how those critical mindsets and key practices apply to distance learning. In the new toolkit, “Distance learning toolkit: Key practices to support students who learn differently,” they’ve provided a practical guide for educators to learn about how they can leverage those mindsets and key practices in the virtual classroom to support all students. We will also share topline findings with new survey data conducted among 2,000 educators across the U.S. on distance, hybrid and in-person learning.

This webinar is hosted by the Educating All Learners Alliance, NCLD, and Understood.
